Following in his father's footsteps Steve learned to play the guitar
at an early age. He played in a rock & roll band in high school and in
a country band while in the US Navy. After his military service ended he
played in his father's old time country band until joining Lake Effect Bluegrass.
Steve plays lead & rhythm guitar and sings lead & harmony vocals along with the emcee work.

Neil Shortslef |
Neil learned to play the
electric guitar and started performing in 1954 with "Andy Pawlenko
& The Smokey Hollow Boys" playing country music. Neil gives Lake
Effect Bluegrass that High Lonesome sound with his crisp Tenor vocals. Neil
is a founding member of Lake Effect
Bluegrass.

Dave Willson
|
Dave
is the newest member of Lake Effect Bluegrass. He brings to the band a solid
bluegrass fiddle sound and vocals.

Paul Grondin |
Paul is originally from
Manchester, CT. He is a 10 year student of the Earl Scruggs three finger
style banjo picking method. Paul's first experience in a band was with
Steve & his father's old tyme country band. Paul brings a solid 5
string banjo twang to Lake Effect Bluegrass.
Paul also does some lead singing with the group.
Paul joined the band early summer of 2003.

Karen Campolieto joined
Lake Effect Bluegrass in the fall of 2008. Her steady rhythm on the bass
and vocals have helped the band continue the bluegrass traditional sound.
